The BridgeTEFL certificate is an intensive four-week, 140-hour course that prepares you to teach English anywhere in the world. As a BridgeTEFL trainee, you’ll benefit from our decades of experience training teachers and students. Program graduates will finish the course with a better understanding of the English language, practical experience with a variety of teaching techniques, and confidence in the classroom. This comprehensive course is designed for candidates with no previous English teaching experience, but is also suitable for those who have some experience but no formal training in the TEFL field.
Course Content includes:
• At least 6 hours of practice teaching sessions with real language learners
• Live and video observations of professional language teachers
• Instruction and practice in teaching the four basic language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) and subskills (vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar)
• An introduction to classroom management, including such issues as error correction and giving instructions
• Instruction and practice in preparing formal classroom lessons
• Instruction in the basics of teaching Business English and English for Young Learners
• An introduction to using multimedia in the classroom, including such topics as DVDs, songs, and the Internet
