Accreditation
Accreditation by an external educational body is vital if you wish to study at an institute and receive a certification that is recognized worldwide. In addition to accreditation by the Peruvian Ministry of Education, Máximo Nivel is also accredited by the College of Teachers in the UK - a professional organization officially recognized by the British Council as an accrediting body. As well, through our US partner, our TEFL/TESOL certification program is accredited by ACCET – the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training. ACCET is officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as an official accrediting body in the US.

Programs

-TEFL Certification: The TEFL / TESOL Certification program is a 150-hour 12-Module course that provides you with an important set of competencies required to effectively teach English in foreign countries.

- Add-on TEFL / ESL Courses: The optional add-on courses that we offer - Certification in Teaching Business English and Certification in Teaching International English Exam Preparation - will allow you to use and adapt a number of different methodologies to teach Business English, and to provide exam preparation classes for international exams including TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge tests. These skills are increasingly in demand in the international market as English continues to dominate international education and commerce.

- Study-Volunteer & Internship Programs:
The majority of our volunteer and internship projects take place in San Jose, Costa Rica and in Peru. However, we also offer volunteer and internship projects in the Pacific and Caribbean coastal areas (in Costa Rica). Volunteer and internship opportunities include:
Teaching English, International Business, Childcare, Healthcare, Environment & Conservation, Construction, Not-for-profit / NGOs, Social issues (Poverty, Religion, etc.).

- Language Programs: Intensive Spanish Program & Travel & Study / Adventure Programs.

University Credits!
Due to our accreditations, our TEFL/TESOL Certification course and Spanish courses are eligible for credit at most U.S. and European universities. Many universities also award credit for our volunteer and internship projects.
