The optional add-on courses that we offer - Certification in Teaching Business English and Certification in Teaching International English Exam Preparation - will allow you to use and adapt a number of different methodologies to teach Business English, and to provide exam preparation classes for international exams including TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge tests. These skills are increasingly in demand in the international market as English continues to dominate international education and commerce.
Upon completion of the Certification in Teaching Business English course, participants are awarded the Máximo Nivel Certificate in TEIB and the INTESOL Certificate in English for Special Purposes.
TEFL/TESOL Program Options
Onsite/150-hour TEFL/TESOL Certification Program
This fun, intensive, full-preparation course is Maximum Level's flagship TEFL/TESOL program. The certification course is 4 weeks long, covering 150 hours of in-class lecture and group work, independent study, and practical teaching. This is the best program for inexperienced and experienced ESL teachers alike, and ensures participants the maximum amount time for study and practical teaching.
Accelerated-Hybrid TEFL/TESOL Certification Program
The Acclerated-Hybrid program blends the online/distance program with the onsite program. Participants self-study the first half of the course with a tutor via email and phone, then they join the onsite certification program for the final 2 weeks including the methodology modules and the practical teaching module. The Accelerated-Hybrid program is best for people who aren't able to attend the full 4-week program. The online/distance modules are generally completed in 1-3 months based on how program participants pace themselves.

The online/distance program is for people who aren't able to take the time from work and family to attend the onsite program, or for those who want an entirely self-paced program. Modules are completed online via email. The self-study approach is complemented by a personal tutor who grades each piece of work and provides comments and feedback; the tutor is also available by phone, instant messaging and Skype for questions and discussions.
Certification in Teaching Business English
This add-on certification course is for people who have completed the onsite or the accelerated TEFL/TESOL Certification Program. This course is not available via online/distance learning. Participants learn to extend ESL theory and methodology to teach business specific English to executives, business people, and MBA students. Business English is one of the fastest growing and most lucrative areas of ESL teaching. Course modules include: Needs Assessment, Course Programming, Materials Creation, Task-based Learning (TBL), and Running Simulations.
Certification in International Exam Preparation
Máximum Level is the only institute to offer this unique and important certification program. This add-on certification course is for people who have completed the onsite or the accelerated TEFL/TESOL Certification Program. This course is not available via online/distance learning. Participants learn about the most common international English exams including the TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge Exam Syndicate, and Michigan English exams, and how to coach and prepare ESL learners to successfully pass these exams. Course modules include: Needs Assessment, Course Programming, Exam Structure, Exam Strategies, and Application of Strategies.
