The TEFL school in Crete is located in the heart
of Chania, the historical and cultural capital
of Crete. Close to the business district, the
old Venetian harbor is merely a 5-minute walk
away, with the Old Market just down the road and
the Public Gardens just across the street.
 TEFL Certification Program: This is an
intensive 4-week course resulting in the receipt
of the internationally recognized Certificate in
Educational Studies in TESOL and Teaching
Practice Certificate – accredited by the College
of Teachers and held at our partner center in
Chania, Crete.
The overall aim is to provide a thorough TEFL/TESOL
course, which includes a balance between the
theory and methodology of TESOL (Teaching
English to Speakers of Other Languages), and to
thoroughly prepare you for teaching abroad.
Quality Instruction: Our TEFL course in
Greece is accredited by the UK-based College of Teachers – a leader in the advancement of higher standards in teaching and education. All members of the College of Teachers follow a strict code of practices which promotes a professional behavior. Central to this code is the respect for the individuality of the learner and recognition of the collaborative nature of the profession of learning and teaching. As a result, each trainee receives a Certificate of Educational Studies in TESOL upon successful completion of the course.
Accommodation: Single self-catering
studios with kitchenettes and private bathrooms
or shared 2/3-bedroom apartments with private
bedrooms and shared kitchen, living room and
bathrooms. The studios and apartments are clean
and comfortable and are within a short distance
from the school.
 ESL Jobs Worldwide: Although most
graduates are successful in securing an
English-teaching position within Western Europe,
the actual job search does take a somewhat
longer amount of time. There are literally
hundreds of language schools in most major
cities abroad – as well as schools located in
smaller towns – which are currently searching
for TEFL Certified English instructors. Within
two or three weeks of conducting a serious job
search, the majority of students secure work
and/or are offered teaching positions. Prior to
graduation, Global Crossroad will conduct job
workshops to prepare participants for their job
search.
