TESOL/TEFL Certificate Courses
The Certificate In TEFL is a practically based intensive course that prepares non-native speakers of English for the practical realities of teaching English.You will gain a broad overview of Communicative Language Teaching practice, and you will think about your own teaching techniques and how they can be improved. You'll cover course design and adapting resources, and get extensive practice in teaching reading, writing, speaking and listening. You'll also master classroom activities that can be adapted for a range of teaching situations and purposes.

The teaching activities are the best that CLTi has developed over many years of teaching English. As well as attending workshops, you will get assistance from our mentors when you return to the classroom to apply your new skills. They will support you through the online campuswith advice, activities and practical teaching tips. You'll get the support you need to deal with all the classroom issues that arise.

Preliminary Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (4 Weeks)
Course covers the core skills that you need to practise effectively in the classroom. Includes Communicative Language Training; lesson planning; use of practical activities; classroom management; and student correction. There is also a specialisation available on teaching young learners.

Certificate in TEFL (6 Weeks)
Covers a wide range of teaching techniques that include: Communicative Language Training; syllabus design and lesson planning; use of different resources; classroom games; classroom management; and classroom observation. This standard Certificate involves many hours of teaching practice on real students.

Advanced Certificate in TEFL (10 Weeks)
Covers advanced teaching techniques for use in a range of situations. Content includes: Communicative Language Training; adaptation of syllabus design and lesson planning to suit your school; use of resources such as video, audio, games, songs and music; gaining student feedback; use of a range of practical activities; and classroom observation. There is also a specialisation available on teaching young learners.

Certificate in Teaching IELTS Exam Preparation (6 Weeks)
Teaches you the necessary techniques to prepare students for the IELTS examination. Course covers exam structure, format, and question types; use of texts and resources, such as video and audio; interview and monologue techniques; development of extension activities; and classroom observation.
