Our TESOL courses are the resulting combination of years of experience and an in depth knowledge of the TESOL Certification Standards and Practices. The courses we offer are the product of an incredible amount of research and include substantial, on-going graduate feedback. The course materials consist of a standard textbook, training from our various specialists, various public resources and a vast supply of supplementary information acquired by years of in-depth study and professional development in the TESOL Industry.
The New England TESOL certificate course book our students use is A Course in Language Teaching, by Penny Ur. Ur’s text has proven to be valuable and reliable in effectively confronting many of the practical challenges that arise in ESL teaching. We also find it to be highly suitable for distance learning.
New England TESOL Certificate is a 120 hour certificate course and is taught in six parts. A teacher trainer assigned to you will patiently guide you along the way and progressively provide you with all of your material and assignments. The course is designed to be logical and highly informative with each trainee strongly encouraged to exercise a sound study approach in order to attain the required knowledge with a minimum of confusion. Self reliance and self confidence not only as a student of ESL but also as a teacher/trainee are strongly valued from start to finish. Below are the different sections of our course syllabus:
