University Credits
Due to our accreditations, our TEFL/TESOL Certification course and Spanish courses are eligible for credit at most U.S. and European universities. Many universities also award credit for our volunteer and internship projects.

- TEFL Certification: Our TEFL / TESOL Certification program is your first step toward more travel, more adventure, and better prospects as an English teacher. The TEFL / TESOL Certification program is a 150-hour 12-Module course that provides you with an important set of competencies required to effectively teach English in foreign countries. You will come away from the TEFL/TESOL training with a thorough grounding in both the theoretical and practical concepts required to teach real-life language skills, including: Speaking, Reading, Writing, Listening, Grammar, Vocabulary, and Pronunciation.

Our courses meet the highest standards and equip you with the necessary tools to succeed in your professional teaching endeavors.Following the TEFL/TESOL course you will be able to confidently teach English as a foreign language to both adult and young learners in both monolingual and multilingual learning environments, and be able to manage large groups and one-to-one classes.

The optional add-on courses that we offer - Certification in Teaching Business English and Certification in Teaching International English Exam Preparation - will allow you to use and adapt a number of different methodologies to teach Business English, and to provide exam preparation classes for international exams including TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge tests. These skills are increasingly in demand in the international market as English continues to dominate international education and commerce.

Upon completion of the Certification in Teaching Business English course, participants are awarded the Máximo Nivel Certificate in TEIB and the INTESOL Certificate in English for Special Purposes. Upon completion of the course, participants are awarded the Máximo Nivel Certificate in TIEEP and the INTESOL Certificate in English for Special Purposes.

The majority of our volunteer and internship projects take place in Cusco and Arequipa, Peru or San Jose, Costa Rica. However, we also offer volunteer and internship projects in other areas and cities including: Lima, Trujillo, Iquitos, Puerto Maldonado, and Urubamba (in Peru); and the Pacific and Caribbean coastal areas (in Costa Rica). Peru, a country of 24 million inhabitants, is located in the west central part of South America, and is the 19th largest country in the world. It shares borders to the north with Ecuador, to the south with Chile and Bolivia, and to the east with Columbia and Brazil. Peru's geography, climates, and cultures are diverse due to the natural variation of its regions, which include the coast, the Andes, and the Amazon jungle. Peru is one of the world's greatest centers of ancient civilization - the Incas.

Cusco is situated in the Andes Mountains in southeastern Peru, and sits at an altitude of 3,400 meters above sea level (11,000 ft.). Cusco is today a cosmopolitan city of 400,000 people, and is the historic capital of the Inca Empire and is the gateway to the sanctuary city of Machupicchu. Indeed, Cusco is one of the most spectacular highlights of South America. Stately and historic, with stone streets and buildings that are built on Incan foundations laid down more than five centuries ago, Cusco is a Mecca for South American adventurers and tourists. Cusco is one of those rare places able to preserve its unique character despite its prominence in international tourism.

Our TEFL school is located in the heart of Cusco, in a modern office building, just 3 blocks from the historic Plaza de Armas, and just across the street from Q'oricancha (the Inca Temple of the Sun). Our Arequipa office is located just 3 blocks from the Saga Fellabella mall and just 4 blocks from Arequipa's Plaza de Armas. Both locations provide modern computers, high-speed Internet connections including office-wide WIFI access, a small library, and a snack bar where every morning the coffee and tea are piping hot and FREE.

Cusco, and Peru in general, has a growing economy, and there is a very strong demand for the English language. In Cusco, which is the international center of tourism for all of South America, the ability to speak English is a necessity - more than 70% of the city's population is employed in the tourism sector. In fact, the number of Peruvians who want to learn English is growing at an exponential rate.

There are more than 10 official language schools in Cusco itself, and then countless public and private schools, as well as NGOs that offer English classes. There are also excellent teaching opportunities in other cities such as Arequipa and Trujillo. There are also very interesting teaching opportunities in remote mountain communities around Cusco. The capital of Lima has hundreds of English institutes and employment is easy to find.
