Location and Facilities:
The Barcelona school is centrally located in the Eixample district of Barcelona, with the Passeig de Gracia a 5 minute walk away. You will find no shortage of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. There is a metro stop right next to the school and numerous buses stop nearby. Barcelona has everything you would want from a city. It's a buzzing city with four beaches, world-renowned architecture and Gaudí's distinctive buildings, an endless variety of bars and restaurants, and good weather. It is in Catalunya, a fiercely independent region on the east coast of Spain. The Pyrenees are only three hours away by car, Madrid is six, and Valencia four.
The Cadiz school is centrally located in a city that boasts kilometres of beach and an abundance of low-cost water sports for the more active trainee. However, its attractions are not limited to the sun-lover: for the cultural buffs Cádiz is the real Spain. Being the oldest city in Europe, history is deeply ingrained in the city and its long tradition of flamenco, tapas and seafood, and, of course, sherry drinking is evident wherever you look. Live music can be found on a weekly basis in many of the bars and the week-long February carnival is world renowned for its music competitions and could rival Rio for its vibrancy. Cádiz is also ideally situated for visits to the Sherry Triangle, Seville, Granada, Tarifa and other well-known Andalucian hot spots.
The college in Barcelona occupies one floor of a typical 100 year old Barcelona apartment block with high ceilings and a bright , spacious feel. The 400 square meters contain seven classrooms, a large study area and a social area with coffee and cold drinks machines. There is a "chill out" room with sofas for relaxing. The study area contains a photocopier and computers (with internet connection) for trainees' use. The study room is well stocked with EFL course books, resource material and magazines for creating your own materials. Overhead projectors, videos, DVDs and cassette players are available for your use.
The Cadiz school is equipped with computers (with internet access for trainees´ use), video/DVD and CD/cassette players, and is well stocked with EFL course books and materials to help with creating your own interesting and entertaining teaching materials.
