Due to the contacts we have developed with language schools in Spain and around the world, as a graduate of our programme you will be able to teach this summer or autumn. Whether you take the course this spring, summer, autumn or winter, you can begin teaching soon after completing the course.

Tuition covers the course, transfer to your accommodation upon your arrival in Barcelona, welcome guide, orientation, course text book, job guidance packet and, to all who successfully complete the course, on-going job guidance services. Computers with internet access are available for course participants. For those who bring laptops, wireless internet connection is available. We can help with arrangements for accommodation during the course; as well provide referrals for practical matters, such as opening bank accounts and purchasing low priced health insurance.

The course curriculum is based on humanistic, experiential and progressive teaching methods. It provides training in how to teach speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar as well as culture. The course begins with a look at second language acquisition through the experience of being a learner. Participants then examine specific teaching areas each day, which they then apply in their practice teaching to students. Trainers and participants together analyse the lessons that participants develop and teach.

Participants are taught not only the basics and practicalities of teaching English, but also how to develop reflection skills. With these reflection skills, our graduates gain an important tool to use in learning and improving long after the course is over.
