We offer a 3 month (360 hour) TESL Canada recognized Level 2 TESOL Diploma Program as well as a one-month Level One. We also offer part-time evening classes.
TESOL 101
Program Description
The objective of this course is to prepare students for the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test. Students who take this course will have a good understanding of the fundamentals of TESOL and will be more confident in presenting and giving instructions. This is an excellent preparation course before taking the TESOL Diploma Program.
TESOL Diploma Program
The objective of our teacher training program is to provide trainees with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be successful ESL/EFL teachers. This program is recognized by TESL Canada. Students who successfully complete this program may apply for TESL Canada’s Professional Standard Two certification, provided they meet language and education requirements. This is a 12 week program that focuses on a high degree of interaction between instructor and students and has a Practicum component in each module.

-->Module C: Methodology for teaching Vocabulary and Integrated Skills, Teaching Children, Unit Planning and Curriculum Development, Testing, Evaluation and Assessment
All modules will include Classroom Management, Lesson Planning, Teacher Discourse, Intercultural Awareness and Communication, Professional Conduct and Development.
Practicum
Trainees build practicum skills by first observing real classes, developing lesson plans and materials, creating a teaching portfolio, then practice teaching with their peers. The final step is to teach their own class of real students. Feedback is given by both a sponsor teacher and practicum supervisor.
