School Of Teaching Esl:
Since 1985 School of Teaching ESL (S-TESL), located in Seattle, has worked in cooperation with Seattle University College of Education to offer TESOL Certificates and a state-approved ESL Endorsement. In addition, S-TESL courses may be taken for graduate status credit and transferred into various graduate programs at Seattle University. Master's programs in TESOL, Adult Education and Training, and Curriculum and Instruction are available. The certificates are issued by Seattle University.

Eligibility
Applicants must have at least a bachelor's degree from an approved college or professional school. Occasionally, the Director of S-TESL can make exceptions if the potential student has an extensive educational background, but has not yet completed a degree. If you do not have a bachelor's degree and wish to receive the training, you must contact us requesting a waiver.

S-TESL offers its classes in three formats: a monthly intensive format (leading to the 12 credit certificate), evening classes on the quarter schedule, and online classes on the quarter schedule. The Intensive I class is offered 11 times/year.
