British Council Recognition:

The British Council recognizes TFLI as a reputable teaching institution, acknowledging that our coursework meets the highest standards in teacher training. Therefore, graduates of TFLI's TESL program meet the criteria to become IELTS examiners for ELS and the British Council.

At the end of the 150-hour training, student TESL teachers give affordable instruction to non-native adult speakers in Nashville's community. The training program has served thousands of adults in local community centers schools and institutes, as well as parents of children attending public schools. Many graduates have become ESL teachers in other states and in other countries.

TESL for Non-native Speakers of English:
The 150-hour Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate Program is based on the same methodology, but is adapted to suit non-native speakers of English who would like to begin or continue a career in teaching English in their home country. Concepts and approaches may also be applied to foreign language teaching.

The TEFL Academy of Arizona in downtown Scottsdale offers Arizona's only in-class 120 hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate course.

This focused and intensive TEFL course is available either as a full-time course during the week (4 weeks) or part-time at weekends (12 weeks). We aim to provide our students with the confidence and know-how to plan a lesson and teach English in ESL classrooms around the world.

All of our instructors are TEFL certified and exceed the highest levels of international TESOL /TEFL /ESL training standards. We also provide a Certificate in Teaching International Business English course and a TEFL certificate course for non-native speakers of English.

In addition to our full-time campus-based TEFL / TESOL programs, we offer an online ESL teacher certification program which takes approximately 11 weeks to complete.

Penn State World Campus
Courses / Programs
Penn State World Campus is the online campus of Pennsylvania State University, and provides quality distance education programs to students from around the world. Our Online Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) program is offered through the Department of Applied Linguistics. It is designed for students who are interested in teaching English to adults in the United States or abroad. It can be completed from anywhere in the world.

This program consists of 4 graduate-level courses which are delivered entirely in an interactive online setting. You will have access to Penn State’s vast academic resources and a flexible 12-credit course schedule. On graduation, you will have earned entry-level English language teaching credentials. This course can be completed in as few as 2 or 3 semesters (9–12 months).

The courses are taught by the same faculty who teach in our resident Master of Arts in TESL (MA TESL) program at Penn State. All 12 graduate credits can be applied to the MA TESL program. If you choose to enter the master's degree program, you will only have 2–3 semesters of on-campus learning.

ELS Tacoma - CELTA Certification

ELS Tacoma offers a four-week Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) course at our school in the heart of downtown Tacoma, on the campus of Bates Technical College in Washington State.

CELTA is an initial certification for people with little or no previous teaching experience, and can open a new world of exhilarating teaching opportunities for you.

Recognized worldwide, the CELTA qualification is awarded by Cambridge ESOL, part of the world-famous University of Cambridge, so you can rely upon its quality and recognition.

Just 26 miles south of Seattle, Tacoma is a vibrant and beautiful city filled with interesting sights and experiences. It has an impressive backdrop of majestic Mt. Rainier, and the Olympic Mountains.
