TEFL / TESOL ESL Certification Training in United States
Since 1979, WAL has been offering classes in English as a Second Language (ESL), World Languages and Teacher Education! WAL is located in the vibrant heart of downtown Seattle and offers TESL programs on local Seattle university campuses. Credits are awarded by Seattle Pacific University, which is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges and by the Washington State Board of Education. WAL is authorized to issue the Form I-20 which is used to obtain the F-1 student visa.

Accredited Graduate Certificate in TESL/TEFL in conjunction with Seattle Pacific University (SPU). A series of 8 courses are offered for a total of 24 credits. A graduate Certificate in Bilingual Education is also available. All classes are offered onsite in the evening, during the day in our Summer Intensive program, and online.

Conveniently located in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, TESL Express Training Center offers comprehensive daytime or evening TESL courses that provide current or future teachers with the tools and experience they need to build a rewarding career in teaching English. Evening classes are completed in three months and daytime intensive classes are available in either a three-week or six-week plan. The knowledge and training you gain while earning your certificate from TESL express Training Center will get you started on the path to an adventurous life teaching English in exotic locales around the world. The complete course includes 60 hours of interactive student-centered classroom instruction and 12 hours of teaching practicum. Classroom time is divided between lecture, discussion, video observation of lessons given by professional teachers, and occasional field trips and computer lab work. The small size of our classes-between 8 and 15 students-ensures an excellent student-teacher ratio.
