Since 1985 School of Teaching ESL (S-TESL), located in Seattle, has worked in cooperation with Seattle University College of Education to offer TESOL Certificates and a state-approved ESL Endorsement.

Online classes are designed for those who prefer the flexibility of online study. S-TESL offers its classes in three formats: a monthly intensive format (leading to the 12 credit certificate), evening classes on the quarter schedule, and online classes on the quarter schedule. The Intensive I class is offered 11 times/year. Classes begin winter, spring, summer, and fall quarters. Students who study in the online format typically complete the twelve-credit certificate in two to four quarters.

It is anticipated that you will spend six-eight hours on each course module each week, and about one-third of that time will be on a computer (typing and submitting assignments, doing web-searches, etc.).
