Chichester College offered its first training courses in Bangkok in 2001. We are the internationally recognised study destination in South-East Asia. The Chichester College Thailand training centre is located on Ratchadaphisek Road in central Bangkok, just 4 minutes walking distance from the MRT Underground (subway) train. The centre is set in a small parkland area in a plaza with a number of shops and other conveniences.

A total of three different teacher training programs are run at the centre:
- TESOL (TEFL/TESL) Full Time 120 Hour Certificate - 4 weeks, Monday-Friday
The Full Time Course covers all the essential aspects you will need for teaching English. During the course, you will learn much of the theory relating to teaching English to speakers of other languages. You will learn how to teach adults, teenagers and young learners, and the ways in which these students differ. You will also learn how to teach specific skills, for example, how to help a student improve their pronunciation, and develop their reading skills. In addition, the course provides opportunities to practice your teaching skills. This is done in two ways: through peer teaching, where you will teach your classmates; and through interaction with real students.
The Full Time Course has three components: in class sessions where you will learn most of the theories and pedagogy related to teaching; workshops which will give you opportunities to put some of these theories into practice; and field trips/excursions during which you will observe other teachers at work, and try your hand at working with English language students.-
TESOL (TEFL/TESL) Part Time 120 Hour Certificate - 10 weeks, Saturdays only
The Part Time Course is designed for those who want the benefits of a full time training program, but who don’t have time to spend a month in the classroom. The Part Time Course uses an innovative combination of in-class and online learning to earn you an internationally recognised 120-hour certificate with only ten weekends of study, giving you extra time to travel or get a head start on your teaching career. It consists of 10 dynamic, interactive classroom sessions, supplemented by 35 hours of online study and a further 25 hours of real-world experience in any school of your choice.
The Part Time Course covers all the essential aspects you will need for teaching English, and the classroom sessions are identical to the Full Time Course. You will learn how to teach adults, teenagers and young learners, and the ways in which these students differ. You will also learn how to teach specific skills, for example, how to help a student improve their pronunciation, and develop their reading skills. In addition, the course provides opportunities to practice your teaching skills. This is done in two ways: through peer teaching, where you will teach your classmates; and through interaction with real students as part of one of the excursions. The Part Time Course has three components: in class sessions where you will learn most of the theories and pedagogy related to teaching; CyberClass sessions where you will interact with the tutors and other course participants online (according to your own schedule); and teaching practice, which can be organised by us, or on your own.
- TESOL Diploma - 6 months, partial distance learning
The Chichester College Diploma Course is a distance study programme which offers further study in the field of teaching English to speakers of other languages for those who have already been employed in this field for at least one full-time teaching year. The qualification provides a framework for teachers aspiring to senior positions as well as training and management responsibilities. Topics covered on the course are those relevant to professional English language teachers with an interest in advanced study in ELT, school administration and course design.
