Online TEFL / TESOL Certification Program (170 hours):
The online TEFL / TESOL course takes approximately 11 weeks to complete and is a fully interactive course with 20 other students. It is taught by a seasoned university level professor and consists of 150 class hours and 20 hours of teaching practice which will be conducted at an ESL classroom in your town. These practicum hours allow each student to gain firsthand experience working with real ESL students, whether it is in an actual classroom setting, or by tutoring a non-native speaker privately. 

Our online TEFL / TESOL course uses the same curriculum, homework, Practicum and professional certification and accreditations used in our international onsite TEFL courses. An additional 30-Hour Business Professional & Young Learner module is available as an optional add-on to the main course for a total TEFL / TESOL certification of 200 hours.

Accreditation:  Our course and curriculum is part of the INTESOL Worldwide network and accredited by the NCFE (Northern Council for Further Education), one of the leading accrediting bodies in the UK, and the ODLQC (Open and Distance Learning Quality Council), the British Government's guardian of quality in open and distance learning. It is a QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework) Level 4 course.

Online Virtual Classroom:  The International TEFL Academy online course is conducted in a virtual online learning environment, hosted by Moodle.com, one of the worldwide leaders of online distance learning. There is no software to download, and as long as you have an Internet connection, your entire course content is accessible. The course itself is very user friendly and easy to navigate. Students do not need to be a computer expert to take the course; they just need a very basic knowledge of web browsing.
