Accreditation
Accreditation by an external educational body is vital if you wish to study at an institute and receive a certification that is recognized worldwide. In addition to accreditation by the Peruvian Ministry of Education, Máximo Nivel is also accredited by the College of Teachers in the UK - a professional organization officially recognized by the British Council as an accrediting body. As well, through our US partner, our TEFL/TESOL certification program is accredited by ACCET - the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training. ACCET is officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as an official accrediting body in the US.

Programs:

-TEFL Certification: The TEFL / TESOL Certification program is a 150-hour 12-Module course that provides you with an important set of competencies required to effectively teach English in foreign countries. You will come away from the TEFL/TESOL training with a thorough grounding in both the theoretical and practical concepts required to teach real-life language skills.

The most important and defining factor of the Máximo Nivel TEFL/TESOL Certification program is that it provides you with a full 25 hours of practical teaching experience - more than any other TEFL/TESOL program in the world. This is critical to making you a better teacher and will be looked upon very favorably by prospective employers.

Add-on TEFL / ESL Courses: We offer optional add-on courses - Certification in Teaching Business English and Certification in Teaching International English Exam Preparation.

Language Programs: Intensive Spanish Program & Travel & Study / Adventure Programs.

Study-Volunteer & Internship Programs:
Volunteer and internship opportunities include: Teaching English, Healthcare, International Business, Childcare, Construction, Not-for-profit / NGOs, Environment & Conservation, Social issues (Religion, Poverty etc.).

The majority of our volunteer and internship projects take place in Cusco and Arequipa, Peru or San Jose, Costa Rica. However, we also offer volunteer and internship projects in other areas and cities including: Lima, Trujillo,Puerto Maldonado, Urubamba and Iquitos (in Peru); and the Caribbean and Pacific coastal areas (in Costa Rica).

University Credits!
Due to our accreditations, our TEFL/TESOL Certification course and Spanish courses are eligible for credit at most U.S. and European universities. Many universities also award credit for our volunteer and internship projects.
