Online TEFL / TESOL Teacher Training Courses:
- Online TEFL Certificate Course (80 hours):
During the Online TEFL Certificate course you will learn EFL / ESL methodologies, teaching strategies, lesson planning and many other key areas about teaching English as a foreign language. The course will will take around 80 hours to complete. The classroom training part of the EBC International TEFL certificate residential course is available as an online course. This is a great way to learn how to become an English teacher in a way that is both convenient and accessible.
- Hybrid TEFL / TESOL Course:
In addition to the theoretical and practical aspects of the course, EBC knows from many years of experience that teaching practice is also an important factor in any TESOL TEFL teacher training course. There is no online replacement for observed teaching practice on real language students in a classroom to prepare you for the real world of teaching. To address this vital need, EBC gives you the option to take a teaching practice module in one of our training centres.
The Hybrid Course combines the Online TEFL Certificate Course with a 2-week teaching practice unit in one of our training centres worldwide. The practice unit includes observed teaching practice given to learners at all levels and will give you that much needed advantage over other online only certificate holders that are competing with you for the same jobs. On completion of the teaching practicum, you will be awarded the EBC International Certificate in TESOL. This is the same certificate you get if you take our residential TEFL course.
Whilst it is not a required part of the course, we suggest that you seriously consider taking the teaching practice option because it will make your training more attractive to potential employers.

Accreditation:Our accrediting examination board, Ascentis (OCNW), is a British National Awarding Body. Ascentis is approved by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and is licensed by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA).

- The QCA oversees the National Awarding Bodies.
- The QAA ensures that higher education qualifications are of a sound standard.
Our TEFL / TESOL course has been accredited as being at QCF Level 4 by Ascentis, a National Awarding Body which is recognised worldwide making our course equivalent to CELTA and Trinity Cert.TESOL.
The EBC International Certificate in TESOL meets British Council requirements for teachers in its accredited schools and is internationally accepted by language schools. The British Council has schools in 109 countries and will ONLY hire teachers with a certificate that meets its requirements.
