The 4 - week TEFL course in Cairns, Australia,
provides participants with an Internationally recognized
certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
The course is externally validated and moderated by the BOAA (Board of Academic Advisors), has a very practical emphasis and
features a high proportion of teaching practice hours in
the classroom.
TITC welcomes all applications, regardless of gender, age,

of English and the ability to adapt to new ideas.
 Cairns: The vibrant tropical city of Cairns is
the most famous destination on the north Queensland
Coast and the gateway to the breath-taking World
Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef. This modern and
sophisticated city shines with the carnival atmosphere
of travelers all year round and is positively buzzing,
with a booming nightlife, friendly laid-back people,
interesting markets and wonderful seaside atmosphere and
climate. Cairns offer easy access to Port Douglas,
Atherton Tablelands, Cape Tribulation, Fitzroy Island,
Green Island, the inner and outer reef, and much more.
TEFL Course: In our course, students are assessed
on their understanding and practical application of the
course content through teaching practice and the
compilation of a teaching journal. These two are
assessed separately but the final grade awarded
amalgamates both sets of grades with a slight weighting
towards teaching practice. Job guidance and support is
provided throughout your teaching career. Access to
online downloadable materials and lesson plans.
The TEFL training centre in Cairns offers excellent
facilities in a modern, architect-designed, spacious,
fully air-conditioned building. It has a garden
courtyard and student kitchen/coffee lounge with
facilities including complimentary coffee, tea and
cooking facilities.
Accommodation: We can arrange comfortable,
well-equipped accommodation for you for the duration of
the course at very competitive rates. Accommodation in
Cairns may consist either of a room in a shared
apartment, hostel rooms, homestay with an Australian
family or single-occupant apartment or bedsit, with
assistance in booking hotel accommodation independently
if required.
Activities: There are endless opportunities in
and around Cairns for activities and entertainment –
scuba-diving on the Great Barrier Reef, white water
rafting on the Tully River, trekking through magical
tropical rainforests with spectacular swimming spots and
waterfalls, cable water-skiing, go-karting, bungee
jumping, sky diving, add to this the amazing nightlife
that is on the doorstep with night markets, bars, cafés,
cinemas and restaurants catering for all tastes and
budgets - we warn you, four weeks may not be long
enough!
