The 4 - week TEFL course in
Florence, Italy,
provides participants with an Internationally recognized
certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
The course is externally validated and moderated by the BOAA (Board of Academic Advisors), has a very practical emphasis and
features a high proportion of teaching practice hours in
the classroom.

Location: Florence in Tuscany has a population of
around half a million, and is situated almost in the
middle of the Italian peninsula. Being on the main
national railway lines, it is easily accessible from
most important places both in Italy and abroad. It is a
city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and
culture, art and science. Its medieval structures and
Renaissance architecture will leave you breathless and
with a real appreciation for architecture itself. On
your way to class, you will pass by beautiful works of
art by Brunelleschi, Michelangelo, and other great
names. If you are a lover of food, authentic Tuscan
cuisine is a must-have.
TEFL Course: In our course, students are assessed
on their understanding and practical application of the
course content through teaching practice and the
compilation of a teaching journal. These two are
assessed separately but the final grade awarded
amalgamates both sets of grades with a slight weighting
towards teaching practice. Job guidance and support is
provided throughout your teaching career. Access to
online downloadable materials and lesson plans.
Our TEFL school is located in a 'real' Italian area
where students will meet, eat lunch with, and socialize
with Italians who actually live and carry out their
daily lives in the vicinity of the school. As a result,
they will be exposed to the authentic Florence, not the
Florence that is created for tourists.
Accommodation: There are several accommodation
options available: A private room, a shared room in
Florence, homestay with a host family, pensione in the
center of Florence.
