Leeds Metropolitan University School of
Language: The School of Languages offers three options for
those looking for an initial qualification to
teaching English as a Foreign Language.
1. The
University Certificate, available as a full-time
intensive course of four weeks or as a part-time
1 year course, followed by distance learning and
assessment;
2. The University of Cambridge CELTA
(Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign
Language to Adults), available 9 times per year
as an intensive four-week programme;
3. The
University of Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in
Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults),
available as a 1 year part-time course.
We also
offer Postgraduate TESOL Courses (MA Materials
Development for Language Teaching, MA
Professional Development for Language Education
-a joint programme with NILE, Subject to
academic approval, we will shortly be launching
a new MA Teaching English as an International
Language)
