ILS Nottingham has been providing English language training to international students since 1985. ILS Nottingham has been running teacher development courses during this time, both in partnership with the University of Nottingham and Prof. Ron Carter, and independently. Our teacher trainers have delivered courses to teachers at the training centre in Nottingham, at other locations in Nottingham, and overseas in Serbia. The school is accredited by the British Council.

We are situated 10 minutes by bus from Nottingham city centre, and 5 minutes on foot from shops, cafes and the Forest Recreation Ground. ILS Nottingham is located in a well-equipped modern building, where trainee teachers have their own dedicated room.
Courses:
TESOL Certificate Course: The Trinity CertTESOL is a qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (also sometimes known as TEFL or TESL). The course is designed for those who have little or no experience of teaching English in the contemporary language classroom, and who would like to take initial training as teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages. Trinity is one of the principal awarding bodies that validates courses in TESOL.
Trinity's Certificate in TESOL has been accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) at level 4 of the National Qualifications Framework. It is accepted by the British Council as an initial (Certificate) qualification in the Council's teaching operations outside the UK and in their accredited English teaching organisations in the UK. The training equips you with the basic skills and knowledge needed to take up posts as English Language Teachers and gives you a firm foundation for self-evaluation and further professional development.
ILS Nottingham provides a wide range of ESL English courses, including Young Learners, IELTS examination training, Business English, Medical English and other areas of ESP (English for Specific Purposes).
