Private Preschool / Elementary School in Chicago

North Park Elementary, Chicago:
North Park Elementary was founded in 1980 to create an affordable alternative for parents who wanted to provide top quality kindergarten through eighth grade elementary school education within the City of Chicago. A group of founding parents in the North Park neighborhood banded together to create the fledgling school with hope, high expectations and a great deal of hard work. Given our convenient Northside location, we typically serve families on the north side of Chicago, from Lake View, North Center, Lincoln Square, Old Irving Park - even Evanston. We show our commitment to gender equity and diversity in a variety of ways, where we commit to hiring teachers and admitting students without regard to race, religion, gender or other characteristics. We are accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS), the Illinois Board of Education (ISBE) and Lake Michigan Association of Independent Schools (LMAIS).

We strive to develop a child's ability to work hard and to think independently, and to love reading and learning for its own sake.

We are committed to teaching basic education skills in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social science, and critical thinking, using the best of contemporary and traditional techniques.

 The secret of our success:

Our success is driven by everyone working together to create a warm, nurturing community that inspires each student to grow. It's cool to be smart here.

The Wall Street Journal calls us "The Little School That Could." By tapping into everyone's talents, we are definitely The Little School That Can!
