The Embassy is open from Sunday to Thursday, 08:30 – 4:30 pm. The Embassy in Kabul offers a wide range of consular services to the British citizens as well as to the local people. The British nationals, who travel to Afghanistan are strongly encouraged to register online with the new registration service called LOCATE. This service will improve the Embassy’s ability to assist their nationals in emergency situations, and it will also reduce delay in the times of stress for the family and friends at home.
The Embassy can issue normal biometric passports and emergency passports or documents of identity. The consular section also provides notarization services. For your documents to be confirmed and signed by a consular official, you will need to bring them in person during the public opening hours and pay the adequate fee.
The Embassy can provide help and assistance in various emergency situations. You can contact the Embassy if you became a crime victim or if you need a lawyer. The Embassy can help you contacting the relatives if someone dies, or if you get seriously ill or injured. The Embassy can also provide legal assistance and information in case of an arrest.
