Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent:
Canterbury Christ Church University, located in Kent in the South East of England, is the largest centre of higher education in Kent for the public services - notably teacher training, policing and health and social care. Originally opened in 1962 as a teacher training college, it has grown from 650 students to well over 14000 studying programmes across four faculties of Arts and Humanities, Business and Sciences, Education and Health and Social Care.

The University is well-known as one of the UK's top providers of Primary Teacher Education in the university sector and recent external assessments of teaching and learning activities resulted in fifteen subjects being awarded a rating equivalent to 'excellent'. In the most recent survey of UK higher education institutions, the Higher Education Funding Council (HEFCE) placed Canterbury Christ Church joint fourteenth for student employability and 35th for average graduate earnings out of 162. The University has campuses across Kent in Canterbury, Broadstairs, Tunbridge Wells and at Chatham.

Courses / Programs:
Two thirds of students study programmes related to teacher education and health and social care and a third of students study a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the Faculties of Arts and Humanities and Business and Sciences. The extensive combined honours programme allows flexibility of study. Also: English language preparation courses, Erasmus exchange programmes and USA Study Abroad programmes.
