Vancouver Island University (VIU) in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada is a public, degree-granting institution that offers both university and college programs. Established in 1969, VIU has over 10,000 full-time Canadian students, and 1,000 international students from more than 50 countries. VIU offers graduate and undergraduate degrees, diplomas and certificates, and a 5-level English Language program.
