BA (Hons) inUniversities / Graduate Schools International Business
Running a business on an international scale is very different from operating in a single country. However, it is more and more the case that, in this interconnected and networked world, all successful business is international business. This year we have designed a completely new International Business programme that reflects the latest developments in international business education.

During the first two years of study you will complete all the foundation and functional studies making up the basis of knowledge in the field of international business. Many students who choose to study business have not studied economics or business-related subjects before. Therefore, International Business students study the fundamentals of the subject first, learning the skills and techniques, as well as the introductory knowledge that will form the foundations of future studies. In addition, students embark on their process of self-development and personal growth with the module Sociology of Work and Organisations. This is a preparation for the first internship, which takes place at the end of the first year.

The second year of studies becomes more international, and more specialised in business subjects, by introducing certain key functional aspects of international business, including Accounting, Managing People, and E-commerce. By the time you begin your major company internship, you will already have an impressive range of knowledge and skills, which, coupled with your language ability, will be of real value to a company or organisation.

Having completed your work and study abroad, you will return to complete your degree at one of the ESE campuses of your choice, where you may have the opportunity to focus in depth on a particular industry. Studies in the final year move to a higher level of business strategy, and of intellectual challenge, with the requirement to produce a dissertation, an extended pieceUniversities / Graduate Schools of individual work involving research, data analysis and presentation.

This demands you to investigate in depth some of the most challenging global problems and propose creative strategies integrating theoretical and empirical perspectives from the spheres of economics, business, politics, and communications.
