The Carlos III University of Madrid Spain is a public university under the jurisdiction of the Spanish Government that was founded in 1989. It is a model of educational integration within the global, unifying concept of Science and Culture. The Carlos III University of Madrid has 3 centres: Faculty of social Sciences and Law on the campuses of Getafe and Colmenarejo; Faculty of Humanities, Documentation and Communication on the campus of Getafe and the Higher Technical School on the campus of Leganés. At present, students can study for a range of degrees in Law, Economics and Social Sciences in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law; and in Humanities, Librarianship and Journalism in the Faculty of Humanities, Documentation and Communication. The School of Engineering covers studies in higher and technical engineering.
Masters, Specialist and Doctoral Programs are available in the areas of Humanities, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business Studies, Economics, Management, Sociology. Free Spanish courses are also available for Erasmus students.

The Combined Degree Programmes have been designed to enable students to complete a Bachelor’s Degree and a Second Cycle simultaneously. The design of an ad hoc teaching programme allows the student to complete both degrees without problems caused by conflicting time-tables.
Its principal aim is to offer students a specialized education, allowing them to meet the new demands of society and companies that want professionals who are increasingly competitive and diverse, ready to deal with the new challenges of academic and professional mobility posed by the European Higher Education Area.
