ABBA (Acelerated Bachelor of Business Administration)
The Accelerated Bachelor of Business Administration (ABBA) is designed especially for middle and higher management of companies. The purpose of the ABBA is to provide adults with five or more years of management experience at a corporate level, with the possibility of obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration, and to prepare these adults for graduate studies.
The ABBA delivers classes taught in English that lead to a Bachelor of Business Administration and prepares the student for entry into the graduate programs of European University. The courses are designed
to quickly impart the most important fields of business and create, on an undergraduate level, an informal dynamic business environment in which there is a highly beneficial interaction between faculty and participants.
These classes are coupled with industry visits and research papers that refer back to the business practice of the participants and which build an in-depth understanding of the concepts discussed.
Executive MBA
The participants must have a minimum of five years work experience and hold middle or higher management positions in their respective fields. This targeted audience permits the creation of an informal dynamic business environment in which there is a continuous and highly beneficial interaction between faculty and participants, as all sides are actively involved in business.
These classes are coupled with industry studies and research papers that help build an in-depth understanding of the concepts discussed. Workload is distributed quite differently, taking into account the limited time of the participants.
The Executive MBA
programs take place on Saturdays only, starting at 09h:00 and continuing until 19h:00. Students follow three subjects per term (3 hours weekly per subject). The program consists of 5 terms full-time or 10 terms part-time, with a total duration of 15 to 30 months. The courses taught are those of the MBA program.
Flex MBA
The Flex MBA program is developed in the form of seminars for middle and higher management that will permit them to refresh the basis of some core concepts and update their knowledge and understanding. The high level of flexibility permits the participants to complete their studies within 9 months should they decide to participate in all seminars, or follow the program “à la carte”, thus taking all seminars within a period of 2 years.
Participants typically have a minimum of five years work experience. The seminars are an effective meeting point between professionals to not only improve their academic skills, but to create a good networking tool. Formal examination is mostly in the form of projects that need to be submitted within a limited time frame after the seminar completion. Participants may also be asked for advance preparation designed for them by the professor.
Cross MBA
European University, established in Europe in 1973 with 14 campuses in 12 countries, and Nichols College, founded in 1815 in Boston, USA, are proud to offer the crossMBA – an innovative and challenging program designed for today’s intense management demands. The program provides a balance between the pursuit of graduate studies and full-time employment. Participants in the crossMBA will graduate with two degrees – one each from European University and N
ichols College. The program is completed in 15 months and classes take place one weekend per month. As part of it, US faculty will be flown to European University campuses to provide part of the lectures and seminars. The curriculum reflects the university’s commitment to arming managers with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in a globally competitive environment.
INNOVATIVE TEACHING APPROACH
European University and Nichols College have developed a unique content delivery system that provides maximum participant convenience and ensures program efficiency and effectiveness. Flexible, multi-cultural and student-oriented, the Cross MBA is a 15-month on-site program offered over 15 weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) at either our Barcelona or Geneva campuses. Ten of the weekend courses are provided by faculty from Nichols College who are flown in from the US, while EU’s professors provide the rest. During each weekend session students spend a total of 18 hours in class and then complete 15 hours of online coursework before the next module. Upon completion of the coursework students are eligible to finish their MBA by engaging in a thesis project. The advantages to the CrossMBA are evident; participants maintain their regular work schedules uninterrupted, network with other ambitious professionals, benefit from an international faculty and environment, and earn an MBA that crosses industry, culture, experience and knowledge.
