The Paralegal Assistant program provides a broad overview of the Canadian legal system, Legal Professional Act and Rules of the Law Society of BC. Supply chain management focuses on the logistics of the flow of goods and services from suppliers to consumers. Practical Nursing Diploma Program:
This 75-week program provides an introduction to the fundamental duties and responsibilities of a Practical Nurse. It aims to train students to work alongside fellow healthcare specialists in settings like acute care wards, long-term care facilities, public schools, and private homes. The curriculum follows standards laid out by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia.
Courses combine both classroom learning and lab work, as well as four practica. Students are trained in both holistic and clinical practices and will gain experience in facilities that deal with gerantology, acute care, and community medical care. To help to transition them from student to graduate, students participate in a preceptorship and job search training at the end of the supervised learning.
Practical Nursing Access Diploma Program:

Health Care Assistant Program:
An intensive program designed to prepare graduates for such positions as Health Care Assistant, Long-Term Care Aide (geriatric), Home Healthcare Worker, Residential Care Attendant or Nursing Aid. The excellent training provided by highly qualified instructors, and the experience acquired during the seven weeks of clinical training will equip students with the knowledge and confidence for a career in care giving.
Each student will complete three-weeks of clinical training in intermediate care and four-weeks of clinical training in an extended care facility to give them the hands-on experience that is so crucial to getting a job.
Early Childhood Education Certificate Program:
The Vancouver Career College early childhood education program (43-weeks) combines theory and practical knowledge to prepare you for this highly rewarding career. The core curriculum focuses on child growth and development, relationship building, behaviour management, guidance skills, health, safety and program planning. Students also learn how to use art, drama, music and movement to enable learning.
Students can also apply for an Assistant Licence to become an Assistant through the Early Childhood Education Registry after completing the required courses. In our Registered Massage Therapy program, you will learn the fundamental practices of massage, and how they can be used to treat injuries and other medical conditions, and promote wellness. This Massage Therapy program meets the competencies listed by the College of Massage Therapists of BC (CTMBC) Occupational Competency Profile. Graduates are also prepared to write the CMTBC registration examinations.
TESL - Teaching English Second Language Program:
TESL (or TEFL or TESOL), means Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language, and a TESL certificate is the major qualification required to teach English abroad. Students learn how to create learner-centred lessons, manage classes and evaluate learners. With a supervised TESL / TESOL practicum component, graduates gain real classroom experience. Graduate may choose to apply for teaching jobs in Canada and internationally. Though not an admissions requirement, it is recommended that students have completed or nearing completion of a bachelor’s degree.
Veterinary Health Care Assistant Diploma Program:
The Veterinary Health Care Assistant program at Vancouver Career College provides the strong foundation of skills and knowledge that you need to provide a variety of clinical and administrative services in a wide range of animal care facilities. The work of a veterinary assistant spans the duties of veterinary office assistant and animal health technician.
On completion of the diploma course, you will be able to work effectively with the animal health technologist and/or the veterinary doctor, and you will acquire certifications in WHMIS 2015, Standard First Aid with CPR, and DOGSAFE Canine First Aid.
