Adventure Platform Puzzle Game - Draw Story

Rating: 6.9/10 - 984 votes

Have you ever come across a teacher who always spells or pronounces certain common words incorrectly (and makes you want to laugh or cry) or who has a great talent for making his/her lessons mind-numbingly boring? If so, you may have decided to simply timeout and retreat into your own comforting and interesting world of drawing in your copybook. Well, wouldn’t it be cool if one day your drawings actually came to life, and in the form of an awesome Stickman platform game? Welcome to Draw Story, a highly interactive, innovative and surprisingly addicting jumping skill-based game for kids & teens that gets your creative side going, and problem-solving juices flowing! Set in a copybook and pencil world, you must alter the game environment by adding in your own different ‘drawing boxes’ which in turn help your nimble little Stickman to perform otherwise impossible tasks in order to progress.

This fun, cool arcade adventure game follows the classic platformer genre – but adds an entertaining and refreshing new twist! With the ability to supplement new additional boxes to the landscape, you can really play the game your own way! Your problem solving skills are challenged as you try to figure out which type of box helps your Stickman to progress through a variety of tricky situations. We dare you not to laugh as you come up against some of the silliest-looking little ‘monsters’ that block your path on this delightful journey through a set of awesomely-detailed doodles! Ok Landscape Changer, let’s see if you can plot your way through this amazing platform experience!

How to Play: Your goal in each level is to maneuver your little stick-man character to a blue ‘Finish Flag’ at the end of each side-scrolling level. We recommend that you pay close attention to the instructions given in the initial tutorial level, as these give you a good idea of the various controls. Use the Arrow Keys or the WASD Keys on your keyboard to control your stickman; Up Arrow / W = Jump; Down Arrow / S = Duck; Left Arrow / A = Move Left; Right Arrow / D = Move Right. While these controls are essential for jumping and moving around the level, the key controls are your ‘Box Drawing’ capabilities.

There are 4 different types of boxes that you can add to the game screen. The Brown Ground Box is a simple box that goes on the ground, and can be used to jump to greater heights. The Green Air Box hangs in the air (once created), and can be used to jump over ravines. The Blue Water Box can only be used on water (as a little island to help jump across water). Finally, the Red Enemy Box can be dropped on the various scurrying ‘monsters’ that try to attack your Stickman (in order to eliminate them).

There are two different ways to choose a box; If your computer mouse has a ‘scroll wheel’, simply scroll through the 4 different boxes (you can see which box is selected in the top left corner of the game screen). Alternatively, press the 1, 2, 3 & 4 Keys on your keyboard to select the different boxes. When a box is selected, your mouse cursor transforms into a pencil of the corresponding box color. Left Click to add that box to the landscape.

Boxes are not unlimited, but you can collect different colored pencils along the way to replenish your stock of available boxes. You can also collect Coins and Diamonds dotted throughout each level. Each time you reach 100 coins, an extra box is added to the total number of boxes you can carry at any one time. Each time your Diamond points reach 10000, you earn an extra life. You lose a life each time your Stickman falls down a ravine or into the water. Likewise, you also lose a life if you come into contact with too many ‘monsters’. Each time a monster collides with your Stickman, you lose a ‘Heart’ from your Health Bar in the top right corner of the game screen. Once all your Health Bar is empty, you lose a life. Good luck!
