Maya Boom is a pinpoint physics-based skill game where you have to eliminate evil little characters from the game screen using accurately-placed explosives. You hold the coveted title of ‘Master of Destruction’, and have to strategically position your bombs in sensible, logical positions in order to blow the mini baddies off of the game screen. The catch is that you only have a limited number of bombs in each level (like par in golf), and you also have to protect any ‘good guy’ characters – ensuring that they survive your use of explosive power! You get no reward for simple, gung-ho tactics here, but you should achieve success by carefully studying the landscape, and placing bombs strategically.
This fun and addicting problem-solving brain teaser activity should be a good fit for fans of destruction games, as well as for puzzle aficionados who enjoy a good old thinking + skill-based test. Quick reactions and sharp mouse movements are also important. You may have to repeatedly plant bombs in quick succession, so make sure your nimble fingers are loose and ready to rock! How to Play: In each of the 40 progressively challenging levels, your goal is to eliminate the tiny, bad guys from the game zone. You accomplish this by successfully blowing them out beyond the edges of the borders of the game zone, or by driving them into a set of dangerous spikes. Using your computer mouse or touchpad, Left Click in the area where you want to place a bomb (you can place a number of bombs at one time if you like). Once you are happy with the positioning of your explosives, press Spacebar on your computer keyboard in order to detonate them. Once all of the little bad guys are eliminated, you progress to the next level.
You have a limited number of bombs in each level (indicated in the top left corner of the game zone). If you run out of bombs without successfully eliminating all of the bad guys, click on the ‘Restart’ button to replay the level. In later levels, you have to contend with small yellow ‘good guys’. If you accidentally eliminate a good guy, you automatically fail the level. The levels become more complex as you progress, with later levels involving intricate explosions where you have to tactfully and carefully choose the right moment to detonate your bombs.
