Key Responsibilities- Assist with month-end close activities, including general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and financial reporting
- Support accounts receivable (AR) functions: invoicing, collections, and maintaining accurate customer records in Sage 300
- Provide backup support for accounts payable (AP) processes, including invoice processing and intercompany invoicing
- Assist with fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal accounting controls
- Respond to operational requests by collaborating with branch administrators and sales representatives
- Prepare on-demand reports and supporting documentation
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller
- 2–4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, including 1–2 years in AR
- Post-secondary education in accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting software preferred
- Knowledge of internal controls and the ability to ensure compliance
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or service industry accounting is a plus
- Ability to work independently, manage volume, and prioritize tasks effectively
- Hybrid schedule: primarily remote after initial training, once-a-week in-office on Wednesdays
- Standard hours:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM - Flexibility to work weekends or holidays if needed
- Competitive salary: up to $60–65K
