Facilities Operations Technician / Data Center Building Engineer

Compensation: $30–$45/hr (based on experience) + overtime

Relocation Assistance: $8,000

Insight Global is partnering with a leading hyperscale data center operator to hire Facilities Operations Technicians and Building Engineers to support mission‑critical infrastructure in Abilene, TX. This is a high‑impact opportunity for facilities professionals who thrive in 24/7, high‑availability environments and want long‑term growth with a major data center organization.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining uptime across a large‑scale data center. Depending on your background, you may focus on mechanical systems, electrical power systems, or operate as a cross‑functional generalist supporting overall facility operations.

• Operate, monitor, and maintain critical infrastructure systems including HVAC, cooling, electrical power, and life‑safety systems
• Troubleshoot and respond to alarms involving chillers, generators, UPS, switch gear, and related equipment
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance through a CMMS
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure operational excellence
• Support day shift operations (flexibility for nights as needed)

• Background in mechanical, electrical, or cross‑functional facilities operations
• Hands‑on experience with UPS systems, generators, switch gear, HVAC, and/or fire/life safety systems
• Comfort working in a 24/7, high‑availability or mission‑critical environment
• Experience in a data center, critical facilities, or industrial setting
• Willingness to fully relocate to Abilene, TX if not currently local (relocation assistance provided)
