Position: Retail Sales Associate - 2421

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more. The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker's / Retail Sales Associate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non-management open/close procedures.
  • Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
  • Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, and fosters a positive customer experience.
  • Completes required training and performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to stand, walk, bend, climb, push, and pull for extended periods; comply with applicable laws.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
  • Ability to work at exterior locations or storage areas as needed.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to serve customers, be team-oriented, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and operate POS systems.
  • Cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work at multiple locations and a varied retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on the gross profit of personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.

Note:

Payrates will not be below applicable local minimum wage requirements.
