Transportation Driver

Position Overview

As a Transportation Driver for the FBC Marine Operating Center Team, your primary responsibility is to support the logistical and operational readiness of boats across Hilton Head club locations. You will transport vessels between club sites, the MOC (service center), and vendor locations, as well as provide light non‑technical support as requested. The role is hands‑on and field‑based, involving independent work and coordination with vendors and internal staff.

• Safely trailer and deliver boats to/from club sites, the MOC, and other vendor locations as needed.
• Support trailering logistics for new boats being introduced and for boats returning to the MOC for retirement.
• Perform light vehicle and trailer maintenance such as battery, tire, and fluid checks, and conduct trailer inspections.
• Carry out digital inspections on trailers and vessels as part of the transportation process.
• Assist in vessel preparation tasks: unwrapping vessels, staging safety equipment, applying registration numbers and boat names.
• Assist in vessel retirement tasks: cleaning, buffing, and removing all equipment.
• Track inventory and maintain tidiness of the MOC.
• Drive vessels to and from ramps when required.

• Valid driver’s license with experience trailering boats.
• Familiarity with marine safety equipment and dockside procedures.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to seasonal demands.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

• Experience in or around boats.
• Prior experience in marine operations, boat maintenance, or fleet logistics.
• Proficiency with trailering, launching, and retrieving boats of various sizes.
• Experience driving boats.
• Familiarity with basic marine systems, including fuel and safety equipment.
• Experience performing minor mechanical or cosmetic repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret parts lists and safety inspection checklists.
• Organizational skills for managing parts inventories and service records.
• Comfortable using mobile apps or digital tools for scheduling and inventory tracking.
• Positive attitude with strong communication skills.

This is an outdoor role that requires physical work in various weather conditions year‑round. Weekend flexibility may be required during peak summer periods. The position involves frequent local travel between multiple club locations and the Marine Operations Center (MOC). The driver will use a company vehicle and trailer to navigate local routes with varying road and weather conditions.
