Job Description
ADVANCED CONCEPTS is an entity within EDGE dedicated to the design and deployment of advanced, innovative technologies. ADVANCED CONCEPTS is fast‑tracking the development of high‑technology autonomous systems, including three Medium Endurance, High Altitude fixed‑wing unmanned aerial systems, a family of precision loitering munitions, a cost‑effective family of cruise missiles, and a range of guided artillery munitions.
Responsibilities- High skilled FPV drone operator, maneuvering and chasing fast objects.
- Build and assemble FPV drones as required.
- Operate all DJI drones.
- Shoot cinematic video and photo using still camera and Ronin.
- Conduct video editing, Photoshop, FCPX, and other post‑production tasks.
- Assist team members.
- Handle petty cash and follow up with finance.
- Coordinate with operations manager for flight test requirements and booking.
- Issue purchase requisitions and follow up with procurement.
- Schedule a driver for flight tests.
- Maintain items leaving for flight tests and ensure exit permits are in place.
- Perform 3D animation (as required).
- Test planning and execution, setting up and conducting field tests for FPV systems.
- Execute technical troubleshooting and risk management for FPV systems.
- 10+ years of experience working with FPV systems, including drones, remote‑controlled vehicles, and associated camera and transmission technologies.
- Hands‑on experience with FPV system setup, calibration, and maintenance, especially in demanding or mission‑critical environments.
- Familiarity with FPV camera technology, video transmission systems, and control interfaces, including troubleshooting issues related to signal quality, range, or interference.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- FPV system proficiency (preferably DJI).
- Strong skills in test planning and execution.
- Ability to work in dynamic environments such as military exercises or field trials to conduct real‑world tests.
- Attention to detail in setting up, testing, and troubleshooting FPV systems.
- Strong critical thinking and logical problem‑solving skills, especially under pressure.
- Functional competencies: FPV system operation and maintenance, field testing and evaluation, technical troubleshooting, risk management and safety.
