Purpose
The Packaging Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and optimizing all industrial packagingactivities to ensure products are packed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with customer requirements, internal quality standards, and transport regulations.
This role works closely with production, logistics, quality, and procurement teams to guarantee packaging availability, cost control, and operational performance.
- Coordinating with planning and QC team and identifying the orders ready for boxing.
- Coordinating with packing subcontractors carrying out surveys and getting quotes for the boxes.
- Raising PR for the boxes.
- Preparing identification tags for the materials by referring to delivery notes and BOM.
- Capture and save clear photos of the materials before and after boxing in separate folders for each order.
- Supervision of all boxing activities and ensure all safety standards are followed.
- Providing packing details to the logistics team to process CIPL.
- Stick packing list provided by logistic team on respective boxes and make sure all shipping marks are correctly labelled.
- Arranging required equipment (e.g. crane, forklift) and other supports for the smooth operation of boxing activity.
- Handing over shipment and all related documents to the collecting agent advised by the logistics team and obtain POD and document it.
- Ensure all packed boxes are stored safely in the designated area.
A. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/FORMAL
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s/ Diploma degree in any stream with minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry is highly preferred, with understanding of compliance and operational standards.
- Strong awareness of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements, including safe loading/unloading, permit‑to‑work processes, and hazard identification, manual Handling / Risk Assessment
- Experience coordinating materials that require special packaging requirements i.e. conditions (oversized cargo, hazardous goods, pressure‑containing equipment, etc.).
