We are currently looking for a Full Time Switchboard Operator to join our Health Switchboard Team team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.

Summary:
This position is located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center. The switchboard operators provide assistance to incoming and outgoing calls and provides clerical support as needed.

Responsibilities:

* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency

* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities

* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
- Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment
- Maintains and promotes professionalism
- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards

* Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area

* Develops and maintains documentation as appropriate - files, logs, records, reports, etc.

* Answers the phone, transfers call, takes messages and screens calls per guidelines for areas served

* Conducts overhead announcements such as color codes, events, and activities at the medical center

* Dispatch security officers by utilizing the 10-code communication system

* Monitors security surveillance equipment as requested by security during a code alert

* Implements daily call-back listings for on-call staff

* Performs sight checks to the computerized control systems e.g. surveillance cameras, infant abduction panic alert system, fire panel, emergency generators, etc.

* Performs all other duties as assigned

* Develop and apply proficiency in computer systems and applications as required by role and responsibilities

* Ability to plan, organize and follow through on assignments

* Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management

* Keeps written records

* Prepares role specific reports

Skills:
Essential:

* Basic Computer skills

* Developing and basic proficiency skills in Excel

* Skilled in operating a computer and/or other equipment related to specific role (i.e. automated currency counters, calculator, projector, binding machine, other related office equipment)

* Accurately type 45 words per minute
