Production Manager, Operations Manager
Summary
The Operations Manager will be responsible for driving production performance, ensuring on‑time delivery, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability on the shop floor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Operational Leadership – Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met.
- Lead and inspire cross‑functional teams including production, quality, and logistics personnel.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Management – Track, analyze, and communicate key daily metrics such as on‑time delivery (OTD), daily production targets, efficiency and utilization; conduct daily production meetings and provide clear, actionable updates to teams and leadership.
- Process Improvement – Utilize data analysis to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements; drive lean manufacturing initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts; collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues.
- Planning & Coordination – Coordinate production schedules and resources to meet customer demand; work closely with supply chain and planning teams to ensure material availability; ensure compliance with aerospace standards and internal quality systems.

Employees' primary duties require the employee to use discretion and independent judgment.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManages direct and indirect members in Operations. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university in engineering (industrial engineering preferred or similar discipline); or 6+ years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer SkillsKnowledge of manufacturing software, payroll systems, spreadsheet software, and Word processing software.
