Job Overview
This seasonal role is available now through September 2026 with the potential to transition into a full‑time position based on strong performance. The position is for a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I and involves using industry‑leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs while embodying the Safelite Spirit.
Responsibilities- Learn to repair vehicle glass in both classroom and hands‑on settings, focusing on Safelite’s fitting standards under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass related issues on customer vehicles.
- Manage work orders, customer documentation, and customer communication through Safelite Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
- Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
- Clean customer vehicles during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop.
- Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools, and chemicals used throughout the workday.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards.
- Competitive weekly base pay up to $18.75 per hour.
- Paid training and all necessary tools and resources to be successful.
- Education – High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred).
- Licenses & Certifications – Valid state‑issued driver’s license (required); completion of Safelite Safe Tech™ certification during on‑the‑job training (required).
- Age – Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Lifting & Physical Requirements – Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. for short periods; assist with windshields weighing 26–50 lbs.; stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body; operate motor vehicles and use hand and power tools safely.
- Other Requirements – Ability to apply safety protocol with chemicals, work in various weather conditions, communicate orally and in writing, maintain a professional appearance, and handle the camera/video surveillance monitoring required for driving duties.
This position involves driving duties that will be monitored through cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies to ensure safety and compliance.
