Building Operator II - Glenbow Elementary School & Cochrane Christian Academy

The Opportunity
Continuing, full-time (40 hrs/wk - afternoons)  Building Operator II  position for  Glenbow Elementary School  and  Cochrane Christian Academy  starting immediately.

Glenbow Elementary School is located in the Town of Cochrane and serves French Immersion and English students from grades K‑4. Cochrane Christian Academy serves students from grades K‑8.

Responsibilities

Engages actively in janitorial duties, including cleaning of the school and the grounds (90 % of this position is cleaning)

Reports any defects, damages, or loss of school property to the Head Building Operator

May coordinate cleaning duties of caretakers

Ensures temperatures in the school building are maintained during the shift

Checks proper operation of heating, plumbing, and electrical systems; reports any problems promptly to the Head Building Operator

Security duties as assigned

Education and Experience

1‑3 years previous caretaking experience

Valid Building Operator B Ticket or 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate or equivalent is an asset

Experience with building HVAC systems is an asset

Experience in a supervisory role

Reliable transportation
