The Akron Board of Education announces openings for Substitute Cafeteria Helpers-Child Nutrition, Job Code 821, Time Schedule 370 (187 days) as and when needed basis (average 20-25 hrs. week). Hourly Rate: $15.09/hour. This is a School Employees Retirement System position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
* High school diploma or G.E.D.;
* Must satisfactorily complete Bureau of Criminal Investigation and FBI background checks;
* Dependable transportation;
* Landline or cell phone.
Desired:
* Food service experience.
POSITION
DESCRIPTION:
This position is routine, but responsible work in the preparation of meals for school cafeterias.
* Basic mathematics, computer, and money handling skills;
* Performs various physical tasks related to food preparation, service and cleaning;
* Ability to work quickly, accurately, and neatly;
* Follows all food safety and sanitation requirements;
* Interacts in a positive manner with students, faculty, and coworkers;
* Operates food service equipment, computerized register; frequent and regular requirement to lift (40 lbs.), stand for extended periods, walk, talk, hear, see, read, speak, stand, bend, reach and stoop.
