- Support ASC 740 tax provision activities, including reconciliations of federal and state tax accounts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and Operations teams to gather, validate, and analyze financial data needed for accurate tax reporting and compliance.
- Support IRS and state audit activities by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and substantiating tax positions to help minimize risk and exposure.
- Assist with U.S. international tax reporting, including reviewing global tax packages and supporting calculations related to earnings and profits, Subpart F income, foreign tax credits, and related federal filings.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and support implementation efforts related to new compliance requirements, process improvements, and internal controls.
- Support special projects, tax planning initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts across the broader tax function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate tax compliance within public accounting and/or large corporate environments.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax compliance, tax provisions, and multinational corporate tax concepts.
- Foundational understanding of ASC 740 and deferred tax accounting principles under U.S. GAAP.
- Experience working in deadline-driven environments with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting tax functions within manufacturing, consumer goods, or other complex multinational organizations.
- Exposure to U.S. international tax reporting and related calculations.
- Proficiency with tax and ERP systems such as Corptax and SAP, along with advanced Excel skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify efficiencies and improve processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex tax concepts to business partners.
