The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, contributing to month-end close procedures, account analysis and reconciliations, and supporting financial operations. This role plays an important part in ensuring the company's financial stability and success.

What Success Looks Like:
- Performs General Ledger /Monthly closing activities including preparation and entry of all assigned journal entries, completion of monthly closing checklist and other supporting documentation in a timely manner
- Records Intercompany entries with Corporate and all other divisions
- Communicates as necessary with Corporate and divisional staff to insure that Intercompany accounts balance and will eliminate properly
- Responsible for Sarbanes Oxley compliance in all aspects of performance of job responsibilities and for assisting with internal and external audit requests. Also responsible for electronic retention of testing documentation for audit purposes
- Responsible for preparation of Sales and Use and GST/PST returns for multiple jurisdictions on a timely basis
- Responsible for a large volume of account reconciliations including analysis of assigned Balance sheet accounts with supporting documentation on a monthly, continuing basis
- Completes special projects as assigned by Finance Department management
- Independently manage and execute moderate to complex projects specific to the division's needs
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, preferred
- CPA (or on track to complete CPA) is preferred but not required
- Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with ERP systems is preferred but not required.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The salary range for this position is $58,000 to $70,000 with potential to earn an annual bonus.
