Fleet Support Driver

Currently Charged LLC keeps EV's running with battery swaps, relocations and damage support through our skilled contractor network. We connect sustainable transport with flexible gig work, while ensuring zero downtime for electric fleets.

The Fleet Support Driver Role is a contract, on-site role based in Akron, OH.

In this position, you will safely operate your own vehicle to: deploy, rebalance, retrieve and swap batteries for Bird vehicles across assigned areas including Akron, Kent, and Canton, Ohio. You will load and unload batteries and vehicles, perform basic visual inspections, and report any damages or safety concerns. The role includes following established routes and schedules, using mobile tools to track tasks, and coordinating with the hourly operations teams to ensure fleet availability and reliability.

You may also interact with members of the public and local partners while representing Bird in a professional and courteous manner.

• Strong vehicle operation skills, including experience with driving and safe handling in urban environments.
• Clear, professional communication skills to coordinate with the operations team and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Customer Service mindset with the ability to represent Bird positively when interacting with riders, partners, and the public.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and familiarity with local traffic laws.
• Ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, loading, and unloading equipment as needed.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends based on operational needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in transportation, logistics, or field operations is a plus.
