Position:  Trauma Center Nurse Manager (RN)
Job Summary
To work in close collaboration with the trauma medical director to organize services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to the care of the trauma patient and family. Responsible for daily operations of PPMH's trauma program. Primary responsibilities relate to performance improvement, compliance, and supervision of the Trauma Registry. The TPC assists the medical director with the administration of the trauma center and directs, plans, and facilitates care in collaboration with the trauma surgeons, sub-specialists, nursing and ancillary services. To proactively support the efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and to promote a safe environment at Phoebe. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of Phoebe. General requirements •Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization
•Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
•Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)
•Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
•Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
•Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
•Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines

Working Conditions •General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
•May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.
•May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.
•May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
•Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
•Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel.
Position Requirements
Bachelor,   5 to 6 Years work experience
Education Requirements
•4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
•Master's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Experience Requirements
•4 - 5 years Emergency Medicine and (or) Critical Care Experience(Required)
•1 - 2 years Trauma Systems Management Experience(Preferred)

General Skills

Physical Requirements
•Have near normal hearing; Hear alarms/telephone/tape recorder/normal speaking voice
•Have near normal vision: Clarity of vision (both near and far), ability to distinguish colors
•Have good manual dexterity
•Have good eye-hand-foot coordination
•Ability to perform repetitive tasks/motion

Physical Demands
•Occasionally within shift (1-33%) : Standing,Bending/Stooping,Twist at waist,Pushing/Pulling,Lift/carry > 20 lbs with assistance,Reaching above shoulder.
•Frequently within shift (34-66%) : Walking,Sitting.

Certifications and Licensures
•Required Certifications/Licensures : Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Trauma Core Nursing (ATCN), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, Certification for Emergency Nurses (CEN).
•Preferred Certifications/Licensures: Trauma Certified RN (TCRN).
