Reports to: Building Principal
Salary: Current Teacher salary schedule
Minimum Qualifications- Meets certification requirements of the State of Delaware for Middle Level Science.
- Certification requirements of the State of Delaware for Exceptional Children K-12 preferred.
- Successful completion of Praxis II exam.
- Teacher who is designated Highly Qualified in Middle Level Science preferred.
- Teach Science to students.
- Able to work with students in a middle school level placement.
- Works cooperatively with all staff and parents.
- Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
- Prepares for classes assigned, and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.
- Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
- Strives to implement by instruction and action the district's mission statement.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
- With notice and consistent with employment commitments, is available to students and parents, within reason, for educational related purposes outside the instructional day.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
