Position Summary, Test and Measurement (Electro-optic Test) Co-op
This co-op position is based in Rochester, NY and is responsible for performing electro-optic measurements on photonic chips.
Key Responsibilities- Understand and learn testing procedures for various electro-optic measurements
- Develop test setups and perform measurements for internal and external projects
- Develop automation scripts to improve measurement efficiency
- Develop scripts and tools for analyzing data, extracting parameters, and conclusions
- Document best working practices and present results to stakeholders
- Masters or PhD student in Electrical Engineering or Physics with academic focus in Photonics/Optics
- Understanding of concepts in electronics, photonics
- Understanding of test and measurement techniques for electrical and photonics measurements
- 1-year laboratory experience working with test setups and measurements
- Experience coding and scripting in Python
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check.
