ATI in Millersburg, OR is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Senior Leader to join our team. This role has growth potential into more senior EHS roles. It is a member of our EHS Management team, reporting directly to the Senior Director, EHS for the Specialty Alloys & Components Business unit. A relocation package to the beautiful Albany, OR area is available.
- Lead a team focused on managing and improving an industrial hygiene program (sample/monitor/assess/control) at two active manufacturing facilities in Oregon and serve as a resource for Safety Professionals from across ATI. Direct the actions of IH consultants as needed. Set and implement a vision for the IH program in consultation with EHS Leadership. Act as the primary hiring person for this team and manage its budget, equipment, calibrations, and resources.
- Use advanced scientific thought and tools to evaluate health risks, exposure potential, and identify control solutions. Mentor and develop the IH team so they complement this approach.
- Work independently to manage workload while engaging and communicating very collaboratively with others across the business.
- Lead a Radiation Safety Program by acting as the Radiation Safety Officer, directing the actions of an Assistant Radiation Safety Officer for two active manufacturing facilities in Oregon, leading the Radiation Safety Committee, acting as the primary contact for regulating agencies and licenses, managing the licenses, and collaborating with the Facility Security Officer on radiation security matters.
- Co‑chair at least one safety program team by establishing an audit process, performing audits, providing revision suggestions to plant standards, and mentoring/motivating other auditors.
- Co‑chair the corporate‑wide SDS authoring team by directing local resources, ensuring timely updates, maintaining documents, reviewing and proposing toxicological references, safety measures, and GHS compliance.
- Impact the quality and effectiveness of training and competence across ATI SAC by managing the monthly EHSQ awareness training program, preparing, coordinating, editing, and distributing material on a monthly basis. This requires a high degree of cross‑functional communication.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- CIH certification required.
- 10 years of industrial EHS experience.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment, preferably metals or materials.
- Asbestos management knowledge.
- Advanced silica management knowledge.
- Advanced hearing conservation knowledge.
- Advanced respiratory protection knowledge.
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of particulate (PM2.5 / PM10).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required to translate complex requirements into simple language and activities, and communicate with operating department personnel.
- Ability to travel.
